Ministério da Educação autoriza abertura de novos cursos de mestrado e doutorado em instituições do Piauí | Piauí
The Ministry of Education (MEC) has approved the establishment of three new postgraduate programs, including two master’s degrees and one doctoral program, at public institutions in Piauí. The MEC decree was published on Wednesday (5) in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU).
The new courses will be part of the strictu sensu postgraduate offerings at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI) and the Federal Institute of Piauí (IFPI).
At UFPI, the approved programs include a master’s degree in Natural Sciences Education and a doctorate in Geography. Meanwhile, IFPI has been granted approval for a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Intellectual Property.
According to g1, the Graduate Studies Office at UFPI stated that it is awaiting the confirmation of this decision by the National Council of Education (CNE). This confirmation is expected later this March.
The Research, Graduate Studies, and Innovation Office at IFPI mentioned that the announcement for student selection for the master’s program in Intellectual Property will be released in the coming weeks. Furthermore, IFPI noted that the program will feature two research lines: Intellectual Property and its Relationships with Science, Technology, Industry, and Society; and Practices for Intellectual Property Assets in Technological Development.
