Suspect Caught with .38 Caliber Revolver After Attempting to Flee from Police
A man was arrested in the act for illegal possession of a firearm on Saturday afternoon (8) in the Promorar neighborhood, Southern Teresina. The operation was carried out by the Military Police from the 22nd Battalion, which identified two individuals behaving suspiciously while sitting at the curb. Upon noticing the approaching patrol car, the suspects fled quickly, prompting a search operation.
The seized item, a .38 caliber revolver, was fully loaded.
The police began searching the area, checking backyards and nearby residences in an effort to locate the fugitives. After several minutes, one of the men was found carrying a loaded .38 caliber revolver. The successful intervention led to the suspect’s detention at the scene.
The man was taken by the police to the Teresina Central Flagrants facility, where he will undergo the necessary legal procedures. The seizure of the firearm has been documented and will be included in an investigation to determine its origin and any possible connections to other illicit activities.
